2015 Cambiaso Risso celebrates its 40 years of business with Greece ship-owning community.
2014 Cambiaso Risso Marine acquires Norwegian broker Henschien, enhancing his presence in the Scandinavian market.
2012 Cambiaso Risso opens the London branch of CR Marine&Aviation creating a direct access to marine underwriting via the accreditation of the company as Lloyd’s Broker.
2008 Cambiaso Risso Holding regains from Aon marine insurance brokerage business and Cambiaso Risso Marine is established.
1999 the joint venture with Aon allows Cambiaso Risso to operate within the American Group network, keeping a complete independent management.
1983 a holding company, Cambiaso Risso & C. Finanziaria, is established to control all different activities taken over or shared by the Group.
70s’: Cambiaso Risso gains its first clients within the Greek Shipowner Community becoming in a few years a leading insurance broker.
1946: Giacomo Cambiaso, Luigi and Mario Risso establish Cambiaso Risso as a maritime services operator
This small parchment, held in the State Archive of Genoa, represents the oldest recorded contract of insurance, dated May 13th 1189. It was a contract of insurance for a maritime transport: Guglielmo Pevere promises to Bernardo di Valle, Guglielmo Sanito and their companions the safe transport of persons and goods on board of his galley sailing from Genoa to Barcellona, with a non-compliance penalty of 12.000 Genoise Lira.
